How many porta potties does a construction site need?
A construction site in California needs one toilet for every 20 workers of each sex under Cal/OSHA Title 8, section 1526. Crews under 5 workers may share one single-user toilet. Our recommendation for Indio summer work is to add a second weekly service once a crew reaches 10.
| Crew size | Cal/OSHA minimum | Our summer recommendation |
|---|---|---|
| 1–4 workers | 1 single-user toilet | 1 unit, weekly service |
| 5–20 workers | 1 per sex (often 1) | 1 unit + hand wash station |
| 21–40 workers | 2 per sex group | 2 units, 2 services a week |
| 41–60 workers | 3 per sex group | 3 units + 1 hand wash station |
| 61–80 workers | 4 per sex group | 4 units, 2 services a week |

What comes with a jobsite porta potty rental?
A jobsite porta potty rental includes delivery, setup, a weekly pump-out, cleaning, toilet paper, sanitizer and final pickup. Billing runs every 28 days at one price. You can add a hand washing station, a second weekly service, or a flushing unit for the site office.
- Weekly service on a set weekday, with a door tag showing the date.
- Extra service after a big pour or inspection day, on one call.
- Crew growth: add units as trades arrive, on the same account.
- Billing: card on file, or monthly invoicing for approved contractors.
Where should a jobsite unit go?
Put the jobsite unit on level ground within about 25 feet of where the service truck can park, and away from where heavy equipment turns. Keep it off fresh fill and out of the way of concrete trucks. On windy open lots in the Coachella Valley, we stake or strap the unit.

What does a construction porta potty cost in Indio?
A construction porta potty in Indio usually costs about $165–$235 per 28-day cycle with weekly service, plus a one-time delivery charge. A second weekly service, a hand washing station or a unit with a sink adds to the cycle price. Your quote lists each item before you book.

Construction porta potty questions
How many porta potties does my crew need under Cal/OSHA?
Cal/OSHA section 1526 requires one toilet for every 20 employees of each sex, or fraction of 20. A crew of 12 men needs 1 unit. A crew of 25 men needs 2. A crew of fewer than 5 can share one single-user, all-gender toilet.
Is there a minimum rental for a jobsite unit?
Jobsite units bill in 28-day cycles, starting on the delivery day. The cycle price is the same whether the unit stays 3 days or 28. When the job ends early, call for pickup and billing stops that day.
Can you deliver to a lot with no street address?
We deliver to new tracts and open lots without an address. Text us a dropped map pin or the nearest cross streets, plus the lot or parcel number. Mark the spot with a stake or cone if you can.
Can I get a certificate of insurance for the general contractor?
We send a certificate of insurance on request, usually the same business day. Email the certificate holder's name and address with your order. Contractors with steady work can also apply for monthly invoicing.
What if my crew moves the unit?
Move the unit only when it is empty and only short distances on level ground. The service truck must park within about 25 feet of the unit. If the driver cannot reach it on service day, the visit may be skipped or charged as a return trip.
Can you replace my current porta potty vendor without overlap?
Schedule our delivery for the last day of your current vendor's billing cycle. We set our unit first, then the old one can leave the same day. Your crew is never without a toilet, and you never pay two vendors for the same days.
